Empowering Girls to thrive into womanhood

Our programs provide a space and tools for young girls to build authentic confidence, self love and healthy, thriving relationships, as they travel through puberty. We focus predominantly on movement-based practices such as dance and yoga which are proven to support emotional and mental wellbeing, positive body image and general health and vitality.

Each program  is guided by the Feminine Power framework developed by Dr Claire Zammit (Phd) that engages  feminine principles of creativity, connection, nurture, compassion, curiosity and communication in ways that empower and harness the strength, capacity and emerging potential of the girls.

Our mission is  to create a new narrative around the sacred rite of passage into womanhood that is rich, supportive, empowering and filled with joy and celebration.

Meet the Team

We have brought our combined skills, experience and passion together to create and deliver programs to empower, strengthen and nourish young girls as they begin the journey of puberty.

In our professional roles as educators, we  have both seen the damaging effects of disconnection and isolation that permeate our youth, and the rapid increase of mental health issues as a result. Add a pandemic into the mix and all of these challenges are amplified!

We have developed programs to provide a safe space for girls to address these issues and generate positive, empowered and loving connections to self, others and the world.  We draw on evidence-based practices such as yoga, dance, journalling and creative activities to achieve these outcomes.

  • Co-Founder and facilitator

Katja is also an educator and has worked across both primary and secondary sector teaching language, P.E. and outdoor education. She is an accredited yoga teacher and very passionate about her work and about helping children to grow up to be healthy, mindful and compassionate citizens.

Yoga means “to yolk” or “union” in Sanskrit and that means the union of mind, body and spirit. Yoga begins by working with the body, helping to align the vertebrae, increase flexibility, strengthens the muscles and connective tissue. At the same time, internal organs get a good work out too. Once our energy flows well, the mind and the spirit will also align into this unity. The result is mental clarity, emotional stability and a greater sense of well-being. Practicing yoga can help children with learning and developing greater concentration, balance and composure in their daily lives. There is no competition in yoga unlike so many other areas of a girl’s life these days: Everyone is different and yoga is for every BODY. The practice of yoga also teaches mindfulness, reflects on making smart decisions, being kind and open to yourself and the environment. These are all qualities that will enrich your daughter's and your family's life.

  • Co-Founder and Facilitator

Dannielle is an educator and Transformational Facilitator. She has worked in both Primary and Secondary schools for 16 years, teaching Drama, English and Integrated studies.

She has also been on her own personal development journey for over 20 years and studied a range of modalities, including Dance Therapy, Kinesiology and Biofield Healing Method and has recently completed Transformational Coaching and Facilitation Training in Feminine Power.

Dannielle has founded the business Wholehearted Inc, and facilitates programs that support personal transformation, for both adults and adolescents.

Dance and movement are at the core of Dannielle’s work as she has observed the power and wisdom that is accessed when we attune to our body. Having witnessed the shame and insecurity that pervades the culture of adolescent girls and the negative effect of cultural assumptions on their journey through puberty, their sexuality and their relationships with each other, she has felt compelled to create programs to support young girls to transform their old stories of disconnect and shame to empowerment and self-love.

We believe puberty can be a sacred journey of connection, joy and possibility, rather than one filled with awkwardness, discomfort and shame”
